This gallery shows hand-stitched silk embroideries that form part of my personal research collection, and used for exhibitions. They range from a small silk garden embroidery inspired by the topiary birds at Hidcote Manor Gardens; portraits of garden flowers, some annotated with florigraphy or the language of flowers and set against kantha-stitched skies over the Severn Estuary. Garden flowers simply growing or bleeding from a broken mended heart. Florist’s or designer flowers in 3D from and the early Flora series. The two single topiary Birds in Skirts are part of a special set of embellished giclée prints made in response to the current iteration of the birds. All the works and more are available as giclée prints and can be ordered exclusively from my shop. More information about the making of the individual pieces can be found archived on my blog.
